Practice Counsellors

Employed by Dover Counselling, 

Role: To take referrals from the Primary Healthcare team, make an initial assessment, offer care if appropriate and follow up as necessary. To keep the patient’s doctor informed of progress and discontinuation of counselling.

Physiotherapist

Independendent provider, offers weekly clinics at the Surgery

Role: To provide a triage/advice service for musculoskeletal problems and to provide short term physiotherapy treatments to patients referred from East Cliff Practice

Audiology

Sub contracted by the Practice, offer weekly clinics within the Surgery

Role: to provide hearing assessment to patients across Thanet who are referred by their GP. To fit hearing aids as appropriate, troubleshoot hearing aid problems. This sometimes involves home visits.

Paediatric Consultant Clinics

Employed by East Kent Hospitals Trust, offer monthly clinics at the surgery

Role: to provide a local outpatient clinic for young patients of East Cliff Surgery who are referred by their GP.

Dermatology Clinic

Employed by Whitstable Medical Practice, offer regular monthly clinics at the surgery

Role: to see and treat a range of dermatological problems, including minor surgery. Available to Thanet patients who are referred by their GP for dermatological problems.
